I didn’t even hear my alarm this morning. I didn’t go to bed until 3 AM and expected to wake up 2 hours later. I looked at the clock: 7:40. I looked at Evan: knocked out. Fuck it: mental health day.
I knew that we had to ride the Silver Line today. He’s been asking since Tuesday. We were supposed to go yesterday but we had a last minute play date come up instead. I’m glad to know someone close with kids now. It’s great for Evan to play with kids outside of school.
We rode the Expo Line to 7th Street Metro Station, then hopped the Red Line to Union Station. We had to walk outside and catch the Silver Line, which we rode to Pico Station, where we hopped back onto the Expo Line just to go back to Union Station!
Evan saw that the Gold Line stopped at Union Station. We hadn’t ridden it before so he had to ride. Once again it was on! Armed with day passes, there was nothing stopping us!
We chanced upon a farmer’s market at the South Pasadena Gold Line station. It was a small but vibrant setup. Lots of families and young adults were there just hanging out. A woman played the harp under a canopy. We shared a four dollar mixed fruit lemonade
